Goofy’s Sky School will join the fun along Paradise Pier at Disney California Adventure. The coaster attraction is inspired by the 1940 cartoon short, “Goofy’s Glider,” and the theme is a flying academy with Goofy as the instructor. Guests will enjoy all the dips, twists and thrills as Goofy tries to teach a group of novice pilots how to soar through the sky.
Halloween Time returns to the Disneyland Resort Sept. 17-Oct. 31, 2010, with seasonal décor and attractions, including Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy — the thrillingly “haunted” version of the popular Tomorrowland attraction — along with favorites Haunted Mansion Holiday and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™. Guests will also experience spooky fun with characters in whimsical costumes and Disney’s more sinister characters, the Disney Villains.
The journey begins as a typical launch into deep space. However, as the vehicles climb towards the stars, the voyage suddenly goes awry, hurling the voyagers into an uncharted section of the universe. A galaxy where haunted star clusters, supernovas and other cosmic phenomenon threaten the travelers at every turn. The adventure is one close call after another, until, finally, the craft plummets into a wormhole, returning safely home . . .or does it???
HALLOWEEN TIME: From Sept. 17 through Oct. 31, families will celebrate Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort as they interact with some of Disney’s most beloved characters decked out in seasonal costumes. Some of Disney’s more sinister characters – the Disney villains – also get into the “spirit” of the celebration at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks. Guests will also enjoy Haunted Mansion Holiday and a scary adventure at Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. Mickey’s Halloween Party, a special ticketed event, will run for 10 nights including October 31.
Disney villains will invade Disneyland park along with Mickey Mouse and his friends in Halloween costumes when Halloween Time returns to Disneyland Resort Sept. 17 through Oct. 31. Highlights of the Disneyland Halloween season include the return of Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy – the thrillingly “haunted” version of the popular Tomorrowland attraction – and the longtime favorite Haunted Mansion Holiday, in which Halloween and Christmas collide for an attraction inspired by “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.” Guests also will enjoy the new, nighttime water spectacular “World of Color,” performing nightly at Disney California Adventure park.
