Disney villains will invade Disneyland park along with Mickey Mouse and his friends in Halloween costumes when Halloween Time returns to Disneyland Resort Sept. 17 through Oct. 31.  Highlights of the Disneyland Halloween season include the return of Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy – the thrillingly “haunted” version of the popular Tomorrowland attraction – and the longtime favorite Haunted Mansion Holiday, in which Halloween and Christmas collide for an attraction inspired by “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.”  Guests also will enjoy the new, nighttime water spectacular “World of Color,” performing nightly at Disney California Adventure park.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be updating the Calendar on Walkee to include all of the holiday happenings at Disneyland. Check back to learn what’s in store this holiday season at the Disneyland Resort.

MAPS

Disneyland Park and California Adventure maps allow you to place up to 4 categories on the map at a time. Itinerary and We Did That count as one category each.

Disneyland Park map – MORE items can added separately.

Disney’s California Adventure map – MORE items have been preloaded with the exception of rides with Height Requirements.

Downtown Disney map – Allows you to place Dine and Shops separately or together. Information Centers, Disney Hotels and the AMC Theatre are preloaded.

TIP: Set up your Itinerary first by tapping the Star button on any Detail page. Once you’re finished, place your Itinerary on the Disneyland or California Adventure map. You can add MORE items as you go.

Set Text Alerts for Fastpass return times, family meet ups, dining reservations, character meet times, anytime you need to return to a rides location by a specific time. You will receive a text alert 40 and 20 minutes prior to your preset return time even if the app is closed. Tap a wait time to open the Text Return Alert and Wait Times screen.

New Maps – Addition of California Adventure and Downtown Disney maps. Turn the mapping wheel on the UI to select a map.

California Adventure map functions the same way as the Disneyland Park map. Note: GPS has been disabled for California Adventure map during the parks expansion.

Downtown Disney map – Tap a Disney hotel icon to read more, check rates, see pictures and make reservations. In addition, all restaurant and shop location icons have one touch calling. Tap the Phone icon to initiate a call.

Fantasyland dark rides have been added to My Wait Times.

Line Wait Times and your ride location Return Times are now displayed in Map location icons.

New Clear feature clears all of your POIs with a single tap. To access the Clear feature, tap More.

Map location icons remain displayed until you tap it again, or close the map. This is a great way to track multiple wait times at once when the map is open.

eCards – We positively love this feature and hope you do to. We designed 10 fun eCards themed around Disneyland and California Adventure LANDS. You can add a picture and email it or upload it to Twitter or Facebook.

Search – Search Attractions, Dine and Shops and your Itinerary by name. Tap a name to MapIt.
